GameChange Solar to Supply Tracker Systems for 450 MWp Green Hydrogen Project in Oman

GameChange Solar, a leading global provider of solar tracker and fixed-tilt racking solutions, has secured a contract with ACME Greentech Ventures FZCO to supply its Genius Tracker™ 1P Single Row system for a 450 MWp solar power plant in Duqm, Sultanate of Oman. The solar facility will power one of the world’s largest green hydrogen and ammonia production sites, marking a significant milestone in Oman’s clean energy transition.

Located along Oman’s southeastern coastline, the Duqm project site poses multiple environmental challenges, including extreme temperatures, high wind speeds, rugged terrain, and corrosive coastal conditions. GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker™ system has been specifically designed to withstand such harsh environments, ensuring high structural integrity, rapid installation, and optimized energy output.

“We are proud to support ACME on this landmark project that puts Oman at the forefront of green ammonia development,” said Vikas Bansal, President – International, GameChange Solar. “Our Genius Tracker™ system is designed to perform in the toughest environments, delivering maximum energy yield and reliability. This order also deepens our presence in the Middle East, a region that is fast becoming a global epicenter for clean energy innovation.”

The project, developed by ACME under Oman’s national hydrogen framework, spans 92 square kilometers and will be executed in multiple phases. Phase 1, currently under construction, targets the annual production of 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia. Subsequent phases aim to generate 71,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 400,000 tonnes of green ammonia each year, with a total production capacity of 0.9 million tonnes of green ammonia annually upon full completion.

“We are pleased to collaborate with GameChange Solar for this critical project. Their 1P single-row tracker technology is engineered for reliability in high-wind and extreme weather conditions, and we are confident in their ability to deliver with consistency and speed,” said Vipin Aggarwal, Vice President – Procurement, Green Hydrogen and International Business, ACME Group. “As we build one of the world’s largest green ammonia platforms, trusted partners like GameChange Solar are integral to delivering on our vision.”

The project represents a key component of Oman’s broader strategy to become a major global exporter of green hydrogen and its derivatives, positioning the Sultanate as a central player in the global clean energy transition.
