GoodWe Redefines Residential Energy Storage with New ESA Series

GoodWe has introduced the new ESA Series Residential All-in-One Solution, the next generation of its popular household energy storage system. Building on the success of the first ESA model, the upgraded series delivers higher power options, larger battery capacity, and smarter controls to meet the needs of diverse households. The system integrates a single-phase 3–10 kW hybrid inverter with a 5–48 kWh battery into one compact unit, combining fast charge and discharge, advanced safety, and simple operation to create a quieter, more flexible, and user-friendly energy solution.

More Power, More Flexibility

Designed for versatility, the ESA Series is available in 3–10 kW power ratings and supports up to six stackable batteries for a total capacity of 48 kWh. This flexibility allows families to customize storage for anything from essential backup power to covering the entire home’s daily energy use.

Installation is quick and convenient. With one-click configuration and upgrades, the system can be commissioned in as little as 10 minutes. Expansion is equally simple—the ESA supports mixing new and existing batteries, even of different capacities, protecting a household’s initial investment while ensuring the system can grow with evolving energy needs.

Smarter Operation, Lower Costs

The ESA Series helps maximize efficiency while reducing costs. Dual output ports simplify setup, lower maintenance needs, and provide full off-grid capability for greater energy independence. With 1C charge/discharge capability, fewer batteries are required to achieve high power output, lowering upfront investment and accelerating returns.

The system supports 20A per string PV input and up to 200% PV oversizing, capturing more solar power and boosting household savings—even during peak demand or cloudy conditions.

Quiet, Durable, and Safe

Engineered for everyday family life, the ESA operates at under 30 dB—quieter than a bedroom at night—thanks to its fanless design, making it suitable for noise-sensitive areas. A built-in heating function ensures reliable performance in temperatures as low as -20°C, while seamless switchover to backup mode in less than 4 milliseconds keeps appliances like lights, computers, and Wi-Fi running without interruption.

Safety is prioritized through a six-layer protection system that safeguards the unit from the battery cell level up, covering risks such as overheating, overcurrent, and short circuits. Enhanced with AI-driven AFCI 3.0 technology, the system detects and prevents arc faults, significantly reducing fire risks and offering greater peace of mind.

Redefining Residential Energy Storage

With its blend of flexible design, robust safety, and smart performance, the GoodWe ESA Series sets a new standard for home energy storage. It enables families to enjoy reliable backup, lower energy bills, and seamless integration into daily life—all while supporting a smarter and more sustainable energy future.
