GoodWe has introduced the ESA Series 125kW/261kWh, a fully integrated liquid-cooled energy storage solution tailored for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. With 125 kW nominal output and 261 kWh storage capacity, the system is designed for a wide range of use cases including factories, farms, EV charging stations, and commercial complexes, in both grid-connected and off-grid settings.

“The ESA series is engineered to deliver the high performance, reliability, safety, and environmental adaptability that today’s commercial and industrial customers expect,” said Jie Zhang, Managing Director of GoodWe Europe GmbH. “GoodWe has a history of constantly innovating storage solutions, tailoring towards the needs of the market for operational efficiency and ensuring long-term investment security.”

The ESA Series combines the Power Conversion System (PCS), battery cells, Energy Management System (EMS), and Battery Management System (BMS) into a single cabinet, simplifying installation, operation, and maintenance. Its modular architecture allows flexible expansion, with scalability from hundreds of kilowatt-hours to multi-megawatt-hours, supporting up to 15 units in parallel and delivering as much as 3.91 MWh in on-grid applications.

With a compact footprint of 1.47 square meters and an energy density of 177.6 kWh per square meter, the cabinet is designed for sites where space efficiency is critical. It utilizes premium 314Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells and advanced liquid cooling technology to ensure consistent temperature control across cells and packs, even in extreme climates. Engineered for durability, the ESA system supports 6,000 life cycles and reliable performance in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 55°C, making it well-suited for continuous operation in energy-intensive environments. Early commercial rollouts in China have already demonstrated significant reductions in electricity costs and faster returns on investment with GoodWe’s ESA system. At the company’s Guangde manufacturing facility, nine ESA 125kW/261kWh cabinets were deployed in parallel, establishing a new standard for large-scale C&I energy storage in industrial settings.
