Hydrogen technology specialist HyET Hydrogen has completed the factory acceptance test (FAT) for its electrochemical purification system, designed to recycle ultra-high purity (UHP) hydrogen used in semiconductor manufacturing.

The company has partnered with Nippon Sanso, a global industrial gas company, to reduce hydrogen purification costs and improve supply reliability during semiconductor production.

Nippon Sanso plans to integrate the technology into its semiconductor specialty gases (SSG) division.

HyET Hydrogen’s electrochemical purification system recovers and reuses UHP, while the standard process allows the UHP to be vented after the system is used.
