The Indian Biogas Association has proposed a $134.5m fund to subsidise the biogas industry in the upcoming Union Budget of India, set to take place on 1 February.
The IBA said that this could unlock large-scale private investment and create rural income opportunities. The details of any future subsidies are not yet clear, but are expected to be revealed during the Budget.
