INOX Air Products starts work on India spec gas plant for electronics

Industrial gas major INOX Air Products (INOX AP) has started construction of a specialty gas facility in Dholera, India, that will supply ultra-high-purity gases for the semiconductor industry.

The plant – which will produce nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and hydrogen – will also support Tata Electronics’ upcoming $11bn semiconductor fab being developed in partnership with Taiwan’s Powerchip.

Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Group, told India’s Economic Times that the company hopes to launch the facility within “12 to 18 months at the latest.”
