The British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA) has announced that its former Technical Manager, Peter (Jake) Lake, has left the organisation after spending 15 years in the role.
According to the BCGA, Lake played a key role in developing and coordinating the many BCGA publications. These include technical guides, codes of practice, and safety leaflets.
“His influence reached both national and international arenas, representing the UK in standards organisations including BSI, CEN and ISO,” said Chris Street, President of the BCGA.
He also championed the gases industry through engagement with government departments, agencies, trade associations and professional bodies.
