Linde appoints Lamba to dual role as Chairman and CEO

Industrial gas major Linde has named current CEO Sanjiv Lamba as its new Chairman of the Board, replacing the outgoing Steve Angel.

Angel will retire from Linde’s boardroom effective 31 January 2026 after 25 years at the company spanning a range of executive roles, including CEO of Linde and its predecessor company Praxair.

“While I am excited to pursue a new leadership opportunity and give it my full commitment, I am confident Linde is in excellent hands with Sanjiv… and the leadership team,” said Angel.
