LONGi Achieves 21st Consecutive AAA Rating, Sets New Benchmarks in Solar Innovation

LONGi has maintained its AAA rating in PV-Tech’s Q1 2025 PV ModuleTech bankability rankings, achieving this top distinction for the 21st consecutive quarter. This milestone highlights LONGi’s enduring commitment to quality, innovation, financial strength, and leadership within the photovoltaic sector.

The PV ModuleTech bankability ratings are based on a comprehensive evaluation of manufacturers across critical areas such as value chain robustness, production capacity, global shipment performance, capital expenditure (capex), R&D investment, and cash-flow management. LONGi’s consistent AAA rating reflects its strong operational performance and ongoing dedication to advancing solar technology.

Leveraging its deep technological expertise and intelligent manufacturing capabilities, LONGi has achieved continuous breakthroughs in HPBC technology and forward-looking R&D, successfully deploying products across utility-scale and distributed generation scenarios.

Since the debut of its next-generation BC products featuring HPBC 2.0 in May 2024, LONGi has secured major global orders. In early April, LONGi signed a 226 MW Hi-MO 9 module supply agreement in Greece, marking the largest BC-based utility project in Europe.

At the end of March, the company entered into a Hi-MO X10 module supply framework agreement totaling 555 MW with several EPC firms during the South Africa International Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Exhibition. Customers in Africa highly praised the modules’ high power output per unit area and strong anti-shading capabilities.

By the close of Q1 2025, LONGi’s global shipments of BC modules surpassed 30 GW, with reserved orders exceeding 40 GW. Remaining committed to innovation, LONGi continues to push the boundaries of R&D in crystalline silicon and crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem cell efficiency. The company currently holds world records in both categories.

On April 11th, LONGi announced at its Wuhu base in Anhui Province, China, that its self-developed Hybrid Interdigitated-Back-Contact (HIBC) crystalline silicon solar cell achieved a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 27.81%, verified by Germany’s Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH), setting a new benchmark for monocrystalline silicon PV cells.

Simultaneously, LONGi’s two-terminal crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cell reached a certified 34.85% efficiency by the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), once again breaking the global record for this category.

Achieving 21 consecutive AAA ratings stands as a powerful testament to LONGi’s operational excellence, product quality, and long-term commitment. Moving forward, LONGi will continue to strengthen its technological innovation and risk management capabilities, working closely with global partners to build a brighter future.
