LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in solar technology, has signed a Heads of Agreement with Fortescue Ltd, a world-leading resources and green energy company. The signing ceremony, attended by Mr. Zhong Baoshen, Chairman of LONGi, and Dr. Andrew Forrest, Executive Chairman of Fortescue, marks a major step in the companies’ shared commitment to accelerating the global shift to renewable energy.

Under the agreement, LONGi will supply high-efficiency solar photovoltaic modules and collaborate on joint venture projects to deliver integrated green energy solutions—including generation, storage, and transmission—across key markets such as Australia, the United States, Chile, Peru, and multiple countries in Africa and the Middle East.

A central focus of the partnership will be Fortescue’s ambitious decarbonization initiative for its Pilbara iron ore operations in Western Australia. As a strategic technology partner, LONGi will provide its latest-generation PV products and technical expertise to help drive down the levelized cost of energy (LCOE), ensuring the projects are among the most competitive globally.

“This partnership underscores LONGi’s leadership in the global solar industry and our commitment to enabling large-scale renewable energy adoption,” said Mr. Zhong Baoshen, Chairman of LONGi. “By collaborating with forward-thinking companies like Fortescue, we are not only advancing the decarbonization of major industries—we are also helping build a sustainable energy infrastructure that can outperform fossil fuels both economically and environmentally.”
