Nippon Sanso Matheson has started up a new air separation unit (ASU) in Irwindale, expanding its industrial gas production capacity in Southern California.
Now operational, the plant will produce nitrogen, oxygen, and argon for various industries, including aerospace, electronics, and advanced manufacturing.
The project represents an investment in the region’s industrial gas infrastructure and is intended to increase production capacity and strengthen supply availability in the region.
Nippon Sanso Matheson is one of the largest suppliers of merchant industrial gases in the region.
According to gasworld Intelligence, the company operates two plants across Southern California, with a minimum disclosed combined production capacity of 600 tpd.
