Nordic Solar Completes Third Strategic Sale Of 2024 With French Solar Park Divestment

Nordic Solar has finalized a share purchase agreement for Montmayon, a 2.8 MW solar plant in France. This marks the company’s first sale in the French market. The move is part of Nordic Solar’s strategy to concentrate on its core markets and reinvest the capital in developing large-scale solar parks. Nordic Solar is dedicated to optimizing its portfolio and is exploring more opportunities for asset sales in the near future. With three divestments already completed in 2024, this marks a record year for the company in terms of the number of sales.

Holger Bang, Chief Investment Officer, stated, “The first divestment of a solar park in France, as well as completing the second sale within a few weeks, is a significant achievement for us. It demonstrates our ability to execute our divestments and shows that our organization is well-equipped to deliver on the strategy laid out. These divestments are also a good example of our commitment to generating long-term returns for our investors. We have operated the plant for 8 years, with strong performance figures and concluded the process with a divestment to enhance growth and capital recycling.”
