NTPC Limited, a leading Government of India enterprise, has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a specialized service contract related to its solar operations in Maharashtra. The tender, identified as NIT No. 9900318035, invites eligible bidders to undertake the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contract for a 23.3 MW solar PV plant located at the Solapur Super Thermal Power Station. The project is categorized as a service and period contract, reflecting NTPC’s commitment to maintaining its renewable energy infrastructure through professional management.

The plant is situated at P.O. Hotgi Station, Solapur, and the contract is planned for a duration of three months. Bidders are required to mobilize quickly, within seven days from the issuance of the Letter of Award (LOA). Evaluation of bids will follow a percentage bidding system, where participants quote a premium or discount over the listed rates, inclusive of applicable GST. The tender notably waives the standard Qualifying Requirements for bidders, but compliance with the “Make in India” policy is mandatory. Only ‘Class-I local suppliers’ with a minimum local content of 100% are eligible to participate.

Financially, the tender mandates a Bid Security or Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs. 50,000, which must be submitted online through the GePNIC portal. Traditional submission methods such as Demand Drafts or Banker’s Cheques are not accepted. While Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) usually qualify for EMD exemptions in service contracts, this benefit is limited to Udyam-registered service or goods providers and does not extend to traders or works category contracts. Performance Bank Guarantee or Performance Security requirements are detailed in the Special Conditions of Contract (SCC) and Section-VII of the tender document, while the Integrity Pact is not applicable for this package.

Bidders are advised to register and submit their details at least three working days before the technical opening date. The tender notice was digitally signed and published on January 19, 2026, providing interested parties with clear guidelines for participation in this short-term, focused O&M contract for NTPC’s solar facility in Solapur.
