OCI Global and UAE’s Orascom Construction explore merger

Energy producer OCI Global and UAE engineering and construction firm Orascom Construction are to pursue a potential merger, according to a statement.

The news follows Orascom Construction listing on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange on 11 September.

Orascom’s cross-industry expertise and $14bn backlog would complement OCI Global’s experience across cement, nitrogen, hydrogen, and methanol.
