Odfjell Technology secures five-year contract in Kuwait’s oil sector

Odfjell Technology has been awarded a five-year contract to deliver fishing services for drilling and workover operations with a major oil and gas company in Kuwait, marking a continued expansion of its well services portfolio in the Middle East.

The contract, which includes a one-year extension option, is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026. Odfjell Technology will provide specialized fishing tools and engineering services to support drilling and workover campaigns across the operator’s onshore and offshore fields.

Operating in Kuwait since 2018, Odfjell Technology has built a strong local presence through its customized workshop and yard facility in Shuaiba, Mina Abdullah. The base supports daily operations across multiple rigs and well sites, enabling rapid deployment of fishing and well intervention equipment.

“This contract award underlines Odfjell Technology’s ongoing commitment to Kuwait through the delivery of our extensive and rigorously maintained in-country fishing tools and highly skilled engineers,” said Paul Toner, Vice President for the Middle East and Asia at Odfjell Technology.

The company said the new agreement reinforces its position as a key service provider in Kuwait’s active drilling and workover market, where national operators continue to expand capacity and sustain production.
