A new cold plasma device powered by argon gas has been launched in Oman, offering a non-invasive alternative for treating chronic wounds and infections.
The Neoplas Argon Jet system was developed through a German–European scientific collaboration led by Neoplas Med GmbH and the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology.
The technology, which has undergone clinical evaluations at Khoula Hospital and Oman International Hospital, complies with EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) standards and bears a CE mark.
The system delivers cold atmospheric plasma to the wound surface to accelerate healing, inactivate pathogens, and stimulate tissue regeneration, without pain or thermal damage, according to the developers.
