  • September 10, 2025

In this episode of The 1895 Podcast, we are joined by Mark Adkins, Founder and CEO of oxygen production innovators, LeanMed.

Throughout the podcast, we discuss the critical issue of medical oxygen accessibility, his O2 Cube solution, and the ongoing challenges faced by healthcare facilities in low to middle-income countries (LMICs).

Mark shares his insights into the barriers to oxygen access, LeanMed’s current projects in Nigeria and Uganda, and the future plans for scaling production. The conversation gives a boots-on-the-ground insight into the current state of the oxygen within LMICs and the importance of removing the scarcity mentality facing many hospitals around the world.
