With only an estimated 2,500 individuals remaining in the wild, the Malayan tapir is classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). To support conservation, the initiative included planting saplings for the Tapir Food Bank Program, visiting wildlife conservation centers, and engaging in interactive activities designed to raise public awareness about tapir protection.

POWERCHINA’s participation highlights its commitment to ecological stewardship and reflects the joint efforts of China and Malaysia to promote environmental conservation and sustainable development.
