QatarEnergy signs 20-year helium supply deal with G-gas for China

QatarEnergy and Guangzhou Guanggang Gases & Energy Co. Ltd (G-gas) has signed a sales and purchase agreement for the supply of 100 million cubic feet per annum.

Under terms of the signed deal signed today (25^th Feb), QatarEnergy will supply China with helium from its Ras Laffan helium facility for a 20-year period.

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, and the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, welcomed the signing.

“China is a major market and destination for Qatari helium, and we are very pleased to enter into this direct long-term partnership with G-gas as we help meet the growing demand for helium both in China and across the globe.”
