QatarEnergy signs 20-year helium supply deal with G-gas for China

QatarEnergy and Guangzhou Guanggang Gases & Energy Co. Ltd (G-gas) has signed a sales and purchase agreement for the supply of 100 million cubic feet per annum.

Under terms of the signed deal signed today (25th Feb), QatarEnergy will supply China with helium from its Ras Laffan helium facility for a 20-year period.

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, and the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, welcomed the signing.

“China is a major market and destination for Qatari helium, and we are very pleased to enter into this direct long-term partnership with G-gas as we help meet the growing demand for helium both in China and across the globe.”
