SCG Receives the “SET ESG Rating AAA Sustainable Stock” Award from Thailand

SCG has been awarded the “SET ESG Ratings Sustainable Stock” at the AAA level for 2024 by the Stock Exchange of Thailand, recognizing its commitment to responsible business operations that prioritize environmental and social responsibility. This achievement underscores SCG’s alignment with sustainable investment trends, green innovation, and corporate governance principles, aiming to foster economic, social, and environmental growth.

In the past, SCG has focused on increasing its competitiveness by continuously developing green product innovations that respond to the trend of environmentally friendly customers in line with the Inclusive Green Growth approach, which is an opportunity to create business advantages, develop high-value-added green innovations, and reduce carbon dioxide in the production process, such as the second generation of low-carbon cement, which has been continuously well-received. The solution that meets the needs of environmentally friendly housing is the “CPAC small concrete mixer truck”, which is suitable for construction work in limited areas and helps reduce noise.

The “CPAC low-carbon concrete” helps reduce PM 2.5 dust problems, as well as the environmentally friendly plastic SCGC GREEN POLYMER TM , which continues to grow. In addition, it is also moving forward with the clean energy business, the “Rondo Heat Battery”, which stores heat energy from clean energy.

Since 2015, the Stock Exchange of Thailand has compiled the “THSI (Thailand Sustainability Investment) Sustainable Stock List”, which is a list of listed companies that have conducted sustainable business operations with environmental awareness, social responsibility, and corporate governance (ESG: Environmental, Social, and Governance) as another option for investors to use as information for making investment decisions.

Later in 2023, the Stock Exchange of Thailand changed the name of the “THSI (Thailand Sustainability Investment) Sustainable Stock List” to the “SET ESG Ratings Sustainable Stock List” and announced the evaluation results in the form of ESG Ratings for the first time to encourage investors to have information for making investment decisions.
