Schneider Electric Names BayWa r.e. Solar Trade As U.S. Distributor For Schneider Home Solutions

Schneider Electric has announced a new collaboration with BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S., a prominent distributor of solar and energy storage products, to improve access to Schneider Home and other residential energy solutions for solar installers across the United States. Through this partnership, BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S. will now offer the Schneider Home energy management system and a range of Schneider Electric’s residential products to its installer network. Schneider Home is an integrated system that enables homeowners to monitor and manage solar panels, battery storage, EV chargers, smart electrical panels, and connected devices using the Schneider Home app.

This collaboration comes at a time when the U.S. solar market is experiencing significant growth. The Solar Energy Industries Association reported that 8.6 GWdc of solar capacity was installed in Q3 2024—a 21% increase from the previous year—with steady growth expected over the next five years. BayWa r.e. Solar Trade U.S. plans to leverage its national network of sales professionals and distribution centers to deliver Schneider’s residential energy solutions more efficiently.

Ken Lima, CEO of BayWa r.e.’s U.S. Solar Distribution business, said in a statement, “We are thrilled to welcome Schneider Electric into our network of suppliers. Their global expertise in energy management, resilience, and home efficiency aligns seamlessly with our vision of driving the transition to renewable energy. This collaboration will enable us to provide our customers with additional integrated solutions that increase efficiency and ease of installation.”

Jaser Faruq, Senior Vice President, Innovation, Schneider Electric, stated, “Working with BayWa r.e. Solar Trade represents a significant milestone for Schneider Home, as their extensive distribution network provides a powerful platform for our home-energy management solutions to reach a broader audience of solar installers nationwide. Our residential products are installed and trusted in four out of 10 U.S. homes. By integrating our industry-leading product ecosystem into a streamlined offering, this collaboration enables installers to deliver superior, cost-effective, and sustainable solar and storage solutions accelerating the renewable energy transition.”

The partnership also supports Schneider Electric’s broader residential offerings, including Homeline and QO load centers, breakers, and wiring devices, enabling a more streamlined, system-wide approach for solar installers. This approach aims to improve installation efficiency and customer service, giving installers a competitive advantage. Installers in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, and Texas will benefit from dedicated access to Schneider Home through BayWa r.e., which now serves as a preferred distributor in those key solar markets.
