Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., formerly known as Servotech Power Systems Ltd., has secured a significant contract for a 4.1 megawatt (MW) on-grid rooftop solar project from the Waltair Division of the East Coast Railway, located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The project is valued at ₹15.8 crore and represents a major step forward in integrating renewable energy within public sector infrastructure.

As part of the contract, Servotech will be responsible for the complete execution of the project, which includes the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of on-grid rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. These systems will be installed across multiple sites within the Waltair Division, with capacities tailored to the specific requirements of each location.

Sarika Bhatia, Director, Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., stated, “We are delighted to have been awarded this significant 4.1 MW rooftop solar project by the Waltair Division of the East Coast Railway. This order reaffirms Servotech’s position as a trusted partner in India’s renewable energy landscape. We are committed to delivering best-in-class solar solutions and are proud to support Indian Railways in its journey towards cleaner and greener operations.”

This initiative aligns with Indian Railways’ larger commitment to adopting clean energy solutions and reducing its overall carbon footprint. By incorporating solar power into its operations, Indian Railways continues to advance its vision of becoming a more sustainable and environmentally responsible mode of transport.
