Solar & Storage Meet North East 2025 Highlights Growth and Innovation in Renewable Energy

The Solar & Storage Meet North East 2025, held at Vivanta Guwahati, Assam, marked a significant milestone in advancing the region’s renewable energy landscape. The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the future of solar energy and energy storage in the North East. A key highlight was the panel discussions on critical topics such as regulatory changes, investment strategies, and infrastructure solutions that will drive the region’s renewable energy growth.

The event commenced with insightful virtual opening remarks by Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power & New & Renewable Energy, Government of India. He emphasized the government’s commitment to accelerating the adoption of clean energy and the pivotal role of solar and storage technologies in ensuring energy security and sustainability.

Adding to the event’s significance, Major General Rajesh Kumar Jha, AVSM (Retd.), Director (Personnel), North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited, and Shri Mrinal Krishna Chaudhury, Former Director, Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA), graced the occasion as the Guests of Honor.

The gathering was further honored by the keynote address of Dr. Jaideep Baruah, Director, Assam Energy Development Agency (AEDA). Dr. Baruah highlighted the immense potential of solar energy in the North East and the ongoing efforts of AEDA in promoting renewable energy adoption across the region.
