Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL), a prominent EPC solutions provider in the renewable energy space, announced today that it has secured three major domestic projects worth approximately ₹1,470 crore, marking a significant milestone in its business growth and diversification.

A key highlight is the company’s foray into the Wind EPC segment, with a hybrid project awarded by a private Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Rajasthan. The contract involves engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 69.3 MW wind balance of plant and a 58 MW AC / 75 MWp DC solar balance of system. The scope also includes the installation of a 132 kV/33 kV pooling substation.

Additionally, SWREL has been declared the lowest bidder (L1) for a 200 MW AC / 260 MWp DC turnkey solar project in Gujarat. This project comes from a major public sector undertaking (PSU) developer. Another letter of award has been received for a solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rajasthan from a domestic IPP, further strengthening the company’s portfolio.

Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO of SWREL, expressed enthusiasm about the wins, particularly the hybrid project which marks the company’s entry into wind-based EPC solutions. He emphasized that these achievements align with SWREL’s strategic vision to offer integrated renewable solutions, building on its leadership in solar and battery energy storage systems.

With over 21.7 GWp of projects under execution or completed and 8.8 GWp under O&M across 28 countries, SWREL continues to expand its capabilities in the global clean energy sector.
