Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited has successfully concluded its auction for the supply of 250 MW of firm and dispatchable renewable energy from projects integrated with energy storage systems. The projects will be developed on a build-own-operate basis, and the selected bidders will sign long-term power purchase agreements for 25 years.

The auction saw participation from leading renewable energy developers. Juniper Green Energy secured 70 MW capacity with a quoted tariff of ₹4.76 per unit, while Navayuga Engineering Company and ACME Solar Holdings each won 50 MW at the same tariff of ₹4.76 per unit. Tata Power Renewable Energy emerged as the largest winner, securing 80 MW capacity at a slightly higher tariff of ₹4.77 per unit.

The tender process began earlier this year when Tata Power-D a Request for Selection on April 29, 2025. The bids were invited under a tariff-based competitive bidding process, aimed at ensuring a reliable renewable energy supply integrated with storage systems to meet round-the-clock power requirements.

The successful completion of this auction highlights the growing role of storage-backed renewable energy in strengthening India’s power sector. It also reflects the increasing competitiveness among developers in delivering firm and dispatchable clean energy solutions for urban demand.
