Tata Power Renewables Launches ‘Scale Sustainably With Tata Power’ Campaign In Raipur To Boost Rooftop Solar Adoption Among C&I Consumers

Tata Power Renewables, a leading player in India’s renewable energy landscape and a subsidiary of Tata Power, has launched its latest initiative, Scale Sustainably with Tata Power, in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The campaign aims to accelerate the adoption of rooftop solar energy among commercial and industrial (C&I) consumers, particularly in energy-intensive sectors such as steel, cement, power, aluminium, and mining. Through this initiative, Tata Power Solaroof—a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) and India’s most trusted rooftop solar solutions provider for over a decade—will deliver clean, cost-efficient, and reliable solar energy solutions to industries across the state.

Chhattisgarh, emerging as one of India’s leading industrial hubs, is witnessing a surge in renewable energy demand through rooftop, group-captive, and open-access models. The Scale Sustainably with Tata Power campaign is designed to support owner-operated businesses and Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) customers with energy requirements exceeding 1 MW (1,000 kW), enabling them to transition smoothly to sustainable power sources. Under this campaign, Tata Power Solaroof will provide attractive financing options, including interest rates starting as low as 7.35%, zero processing fees, and collateral-free loans, making the switch to solar energy more accessible and affordable for industries.

The company’s end-to-end service model—covering everything from customized panel selection to high-quality installation and maintenance—ensures a seamless, hassle-free experience for customers. Tata Power Solaroof’s advanced rooftop solar systems combine engineering excellence, innovative design, and high-performance technology to deliver maximum energy output and faster payback. With a 25-year warranty on solar modules, industry-leading quality assurance, comprehensive insurance coverage, and a responsive after-sales network across key cities in Chhattisgarh, the company continues to set new benchmarks in reliability and customer satisfaction.

As a vital industrial growth centre, Chhattisgarh is central to Tata Power Renewables’ strategy to accelerate clean energy adoption. The Scale Sustainably with Tata Power campaign will strengthen this effort through strategic partnerships, knowledge-sharing sessions, and customer engagement programs supported by an extensive network of channel partners across the state. Supportive policy reforms in Chhattisgarh—such as the implementation of the Green Energy Open Access (GEOA) framework, simplified tariff structures, and reduced regulatory barriers—are further driving renewable energy growth, allowing large-scale commercial and industrial consumers to adopt clean energy solutions with greater ease. With clear guidelines for tariff determination and technology eligibility, including solar PV, floating solar, and rooftop systems, corporates and developers can now plan and implement renewable projects more confidently and efficiently.

Tata Power Solaroof continues to lead India’s rooftop solar market, backed by more than 35 years of experience and a broad presence across diverse infrastructure types, including GI sheet, RCC, carports, solar trees, façades, elevated GI, ground-mounted, and floating systems. Serving over 2.5 lakh customers nationwide, the company is recognized for its focus on quality, reliability, and safety-first execution standards.

At the national level, TPREL has achieved a cumulative rooftop solar capacity of 3.6 GWp, which includes 3 GWp in the C&I segment and 600 MWp in residential installations. In FY 2025–26 alone, it completed 3,778 C&I installations (254 MWp) and over 1 lakh residential installations (385 MWp) across India. Over the next three years, the company targets adding 10 GWp of rooftop solar capacity nationwide.

In Chhattisgarh, as of August 2025, Tata Power Solaroof has achieved a cumulative rooftop solar capacity of 252 MWp—234 MWp in the C&I segment and 18 MWp in the residential segment—serving approximately 3,275 customers. In FY 2025–26 alone, the company added 20 MWp through 81 C&I installations and 10 MWp through 2,607 residential systems. Over the next three years, it aims to add 500 MWp of rooftop solar capacity in the state. Previously, TPREL has successfully delivered several landmark projects in Chhattisgarh, including a 100 MW solar PV project with a 120 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Rajnandgaon, a 30 MWp ground-mounted solar project for ABIS at Badbhoom and Mundgaon, and the deployment of 100 solar microgrid systems across remote forest villages, improving rural energy access.

Through this campaign, industries and businesses across Chhattisgarh can significantly reduce their energy costs, improve sustainability performance, and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.
