TC Energy Completes Pipeline Repairs in Michigan Following Gas Leak

“Natural gas service has now been restored to Michigan Gas Utilities, the local distribution company,” the company said in a statement on April 11.

Michigan Gas Utilities would provide further updates related to restoring natural gas service to the community, the company added.

Last week, the pipeline was struck by a third party, and TC Energy isolated and shut the damaged part of the pipeline.

The outage affected gas supplies to about 5,200 homes in the area, Michigan Gas Utilities had said on Wednesday.

TC Energy’s ANR pipeline system spans 9,367 miles (15,075 km), transporting over 10 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day to U.S. Midwestern states.
