Safeer, a joint venture between TotalEnergies and Zahid Group, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Golden Chicken to install a solar power plant at their site in Saudi Arabia. The project demonstrates both parties’ shared commitment to advancing renewable energy in the Kingdom.

With a capacity of 5.18 MWp (4.13 MWac), the solar plant will generate over 13 GWh of renewable electricity annually, contributing to Golden Chicken’s environmental goals and reducing dependence on non-renewable energy sources. The facility is also expected to prevent 6,710 tons of CO₂ emissions each year, further supporting the Kingdom’s green initiatives.

The plant will feature 8,160 PV modules paired with inverters to ensure efficient energy conversion. A solar tracking system will be implemented, allowing the panels to follow the sun’s movement throughout the day to maximize energy production.

This collaboration between Safeer and Golden Chicken reinforces their contribution to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to expand renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions, ultimately helping the Kingdom move toward a sustainable energy future.
