TotalEnergies has commissioned a 1 MWp solar energy system for Omani Integrated Logistic Services (ILS), a prominent provider of comprehensive logistics solutions. The project underscores the company’s commitment to advancing renewable energy adoption in Oman.

Installed at a major warehouse in the coastal city of Barka in northern Oman, the system features over 1,800 photovoltaic (PV) panels. It is projected to generate around 1,700 MWh of clean electricity annually, helping to prevent approximately 1,250 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.

Hamady SY, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation Middle East & Africa, expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with ILS to support its decarbonization efforts in Oman. He emphasized that the project demonstrates TotalEnergies’ commitment to providing effective solar energy solutions that help businesses transition to more sustainable operations.

Salim Kashoob, CEO of Omani Integrated Logistic Services, expressed pride in partnering with TotalEnergies on the milestone project, emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. He noted that the solar initiative marks a vital step in reducing their carbon footprint while enhancing energy efficiency across logistics operations. Kashoob added that by incorporating renewable energy into their infrastructure, ILS is not only supporting Oman’s Vision 2040 but also setting a new benchmark for sustainable logistics in the region.

With a proven record in delivering high-efficiency solar solutions, TotalEnergies utilizes its extensive global experience to design, construct, and manage systems tailored to meet diverse business requirements. The company ensures that its projects are built to the highest standards of health, safety, environment (HSE), and quality, providing long-term reliability and assurance to its partners.

The project was executed under an asset lease model, which enables companies to access clean energy solutions without any initial capital investment, offering guaranteed performance and long-term savings. Through initiatives like this, TotalEnergies continues to drive meaningful progress in solar energy adoption across Oman and the wider region, empowering businesses to reach their sustainability targets and contributing to a greener future.
