Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. achieved a major milestone with the rollout of its 5,000th power battery pack in Changsha, China, alongside the launch of a new lineup of core new energy components, reinforcing its focus on green innovation and electrification of heavy equipment.

The 5,000th battery pack underscores Zoomlion’s progress in creating a clean energy ecosystem that integrates core components, system development, and real-world applications. Its proprietary battery management system enables precise cell monitoring and intelligent charge/discharge control, ensuring stable performance even in extreme conditions. Designed for enhanced safety, integration, lifespan, and compatibility, these battery packs are already deployed in cranes, concrete machinery, and agricultural equipment.

In addition, Zoomlion unveiled a suite of new energy components spanning lithium batteries, electric drive systems, and hydrogen energy, reflecting its “full-stack innovation, full-scenario compatibility” strategy.

Lithium battery solutions include three major series:

  • Xiaoyun hybrid-agriculture pack with full-spectrum compatibility and operating range from -40°C to 60°C.
  • Standard Box series supporting 140–800 kWh flexible expansion, proven over 2.6 million kilometers of commercial operation.
  • Mining series, engineered for structural safety and in-house management in challenging mine environments.

Electric drive systems feature high-efficiency, high-density motor and control solutions, including a 120 kW reluctance flat-wire motor, 300 kW dual-module main drive controller, and a 700 kW electric mining truck powertrain. A new domain control platform with a six-core chip enables over 1,000 dynamic adjustments per second for seamless multi-domain control across electric machinery.

Hydrogen energy solutions include compact electrolyzers, the company’s first high-pressure refueling station, and a 300 kW fuel cell power unit, providing low-carbon options for transportation and energy sectors.

“Our power battery packs are built for reliability and versatility, with a cycle life that is 20% longer than comparable products,” said Lin Yong, General Manager of Zoomlion New Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. “They have been successfully implemented in new energy buses and construction machinery, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”
