U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright commended Saudi Arabia’s leadership for advancing strong energy cooperation between the two nations during his visit to the Kingdom on Sunday.

Speaking at a media briefing held at the Ministry of Energy in Riyadh, Secretary Wright expressed gratitude to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman for their continued support of the U.S.-Saudi energy partnership.

Wright’s visit focused on strategic discussions with Saudi officials covering energy investment, trade, and security. He praised the Kingdom’s progress in the solar energy sector and its forward-thinking approach to energy development.

Wright underscored the importance of long-term investments to meet growing global energy demands and maintain a stable energy supply.

Highlighting the need for stable oil prices to facilitate investments in critical minerals, Wright called for mutual investment initiatives and sustained growth in energy infrastructure.

Addressing recent U.S. tariffs introduced worldwide, Wright clarified that they were strategic in nature, aimed at ensuring fair trade practices and revitalizing domestic job markets through targeted investment policies.
