Kenyan Government Delegation Explores Renewable Energy Opportunities at GoodWe’s Headquarters

A high-level delegation from the Kenyan government visited GoodWe’s global headquarters in Suzhou to explore ways to strengthen China-Africa cooperation in the energy sector. The discussions focused on the adoption of Chinese renewable energy technologies in Kenya and other African nations, with a shared goal of supporting local energy transition and sustainable development.

The delegation was led by Hon. Mr. Ali Daud Mohamed, Special Envoy for Climate Change in the Executive Office of the President of Kenya, and included Ms. Joy Brenda Masinde, Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC), Mr. Jimmy Osborn Ochieng Odhiambo, Deputy Director of Industries at Kenya’s Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry, along with representatives from relevant industry associations and companies.

During the visit, the delegation toured GoodWe’s new global headquarters, an ultra-low energy building that showcases the company’s dedication to sustainable operations. They were also introduced to GoodWe’s latest advancements in solar and storage technologies. Special attention was given to GoodWe’s distributed PV solutions, which are well-aligned with local energy requirements and provide practical solutions to expand electricity access. Additionally, the discussions highlighted GoodWe’s ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

Mr. Daniel Huang, Founder and CEO of GoodWe, stated that Africa represents emerging markets for the company’s global expansion. He emphasized GoodWe’s commitment to supporting the region’s transition to clean, reliable, and affordable energy by offering high-quality, customized products and a robust service network.
