Precision Redefined: The GIV-50ATC A+A+A+ Sun Simulator by Gsolar

Gsolar Power Co., Ltd., a renowned name in photovoltaic testing technology, introduces the GIV-50ATC Sun Simulator an advanced A+A+A+ class solar module testing system designed for the most demanding research and quality control environments. This high-precision simulator is specially designed for testing laboratories application and meticulously engineered to evaluate the performance of high capacitance solar modules, including PERC, TopCon, HJT, N-type, IBC , CIGS, CdTe variants.

GIV-50ATC is a All-in-One testing system, it includes IV, EL, Temperature Co-Efficient Testing, Hot-Spot Endurance,  IAM Testing and IEC 61853-1, 6 testing functions integrated.

The GIV-50ATC features a large effective testing area of 2600 x 1600 mm, making it compatible with full-size and customized module configurations such as shingled, multi-busbar (MBB), LRF ribbon, glass-glass, and bifacial types. With GSOLA patent technology GSN sweep method, the system can rapidly measure high capacitance solar modules accurately —10ms for PERC, 20ms for TopCon, and 30ms for HJT. Besides, The system supplies other different sweep methods, such as GEM, GMC and Fixed Voltage, users can choose most suitable sweep modes as per the measured modules.  With multi sweep methods, the system delivers highly accurate, fast, consistent results ideal for both research institutions and industrial testing labs.

Utilizing a xenon lamp light source, the simulator provides direct, uniform illumination within an incident angle of 15 degrees. The light spectrum covers 300–1200 nm, and pulse durations are adjustable from 10 to 100 milliseconds. Light intensity ranges from 100 to 1400 W/m², in precise 100 W/m² increments, ensuring flexible yet controlled testing across multiple module types and performance scenarios. The GIV-50ATC achieves A+A+A+ certification under IEC 60904-9:2020, with spectral mismatch between 0.875–1.125 and irradiance non-uniformity and instability both ≤1%.

Gsolar has equipped the simulator with comprehensive parameter measurement capabilities, including I-V and P-V curves, Isc, Voc, Pmax, FF, Rs, Rsh, and module efficiency. The device features a four-wire connection setup and advanced IR temperature compensation to guarantee accurate data under varying ambient conditions.

The system offers selectable voltage ranges from 1V to 200V and current ranges up to 40A, with an exceptional resolution of 0.003% for both parameters. Data is automatically saved and displayed in real-time, streamlining the analysis process.

The simulator is delivered as a complete package comprising the testing unit, proprietary software, IR sensors, PC, and display monitor. Built to industrial standards, it operates on AC380V, 65A, and 55kW power requirements. With the GIV-50ATC Sun Simulator, Gsolar sets a new benchmark in solar module testing—delivering high precision, excellent reliability, excellent long-term repeatability, reproducibility, flexibility, and efficiency for next-generation photovoltaic innovation.
