Oil price fall “an outlier” and LNG price could soon rise

The slide in oil prices has been “an outlier” compared with price rises associated with previous Middle East conflicts, according to latest Rystad Energy research.

At one point after the US strike on Israel, oil dropped below $70 a barrel.

Artem Abramov, Head of New Energies Research, said, “We had the initial reaction in Asian markets, which was very small – but then prices actually slid down, and accelerated on the back of Iran’s retaliation.”
