Carbon Clean launches carbon capture R&D centre in India

Carbon Capture solutions company Carbon Clean has opened a new research facility, comprising two carbon capture plants and laboratories for solvent development, analysis, and testing, in Navi Mumbai, India.

The Global Innovation Centre – or GIC for short – hopes to house research that will support the development and deployment of next-generation carbon capture technologies.

Specifically, it will help scale Carbon Clean’s technology, which uses a special liquid solvent, APBS-CDRMax, to capture CO2 emissions from industrial processes.

Aniruddha Sharma, Chair and CEO of Carbon Clean, said that the company’s investment in innovation and R&D is central to its growth strategy.
