NOMAC Maintenance Energy Services (NMES), the field services arm of Saudi-based ACWA Power, has entered into a strategic collaboration with EthosEnergy, a global leader in gas turbine component engineering and refurbishment. Together, they will introduce an advanced, on-site Rotor Lifetime Assessment and Extension (RLE) solution for GE Frame 7E, EA, and FA gas turbines in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This partnership represents a major step in delivering comprehensive on-site rotating equipment services with unparalleled speed and efficiency—both regionally and internationally.

EthosEnergy is widely recognized for its expertise in Westinghouse-designed gas turbines and is a trusted alternative OEM for rotor, hot gas path (HGP), and compressor components across a wide range of technologies, including GE Frame 3 through Frame 9. The company brings extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and installation of Frame 7 rotors and their subcomponents.

As ACWA Power’s in-house LTSA and field service provider, NMES serves global independent power producers (IPPs) and government utilities. NMES delivers workshop-level capabilities directly at the customer site—offering services such as rotor unstacking and restacking, laser welding, precision machining, on-site balancing and inspection, as well as critical non-destructive testing (NDT) and component replacement. These on-site solutions eliminate the risks and delays associated with overseas shipping, customs, and logistics.

Under this collaboration, NMES and EthosEnergy will jointly offer a fully integrated RLE solution that includes:

  • Supply of seed rotors (new or certified refurbished)
  • Complete on-site rotor lifetime assessment and extension
  • On-site critical NDT and precision machining
  • Component replacement and recertification
  • Open/close/inspection services as part of Hot Gas Path (HGP) or Major Inspection (MI) scopes
