SolarEdge and Solar Landscape Ink Deal for 500+ Commercial Rooftop Solar Projects in the U.S.

In a major push toward scaling clean energy infrastructure, SolarEdge Technologies, a global smart energy technology provider, has partnered with U.S.-based commercial rooftop solar developer Solar Landscape to supply domestically manufactured solar equipment for more than 500 commercial rooftop projects across multiple states. These installations are slated for development throughout 2025 and 2026.

The collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of distributed generation (DG) solar across large-scale commercial and industrial rooftops—segments that remain significantly underutilized in the U.S. solar landscape.

SolarEdge’s U.S.-manufactured technology supports compliance with domestic content requirements, while also offering a localized supply chain that helps streamline deployment timelines for developers like Solar Landscape.

“Generating electricity on commercial rooftops and distributing it into the grid is America’s most shovel-ready energy option,” said Shaun Keegan, co-founder and CEO of Solar Landscape. “Partnering with SolarEdge ensures we can rapidly and efficiently deploy rooftop solar with the reliability and performance our projects demand.”

The projects will leverage SolarEdge’s advanced technology optimized for diverse commercial roof types, enhancing energy generation from existing infrastructure. SolarEdge noted that its U.S. manufacturing operations have created nearly 2,000 jobs, further bolstering domestic clean energy capabilities.

“This collaboration demonstrates how American innovation and manufacturing is addressing growing energy demands while supporting local economies,” said Naama Ohana, Chief of the Commercial & Industrial Division at SolarEdge.

In 2024, Solar Landscape secured 40 million square feet of leased commercial rooftop space, with a goal of generating enough solar energy to power 80,000 U.S. households. The company currently works with more than 80 partners managing over 2 billion square feet of commercial real estate nationwide.

This strategic agreement marks a significant milestone in leveraging commercial rooftops to meet the nation’s clean energy goals and reduce carbon emissions through scalable, locally sourced solar solutions.
