SolarMax Technology, Inc., a company focused on solar energy, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sunelement Energy Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of solar panels. The agreement outlines plans for installing a solar power and battery project in East Dublin, Georgia.

David Hsu, CEO of SolarMax, mentioned, “We are excited to collaborate on this project and contribute to the growing renewable energy sector in Georgia as we look to demonstrate our ability to deliver large-scale solar and energy storage projects that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

The planned project involves a solar power facility connected to the electricity grid, with an estimated capacity of 40 megawatts and a battery energy storage system of 150 megawatt-hours. SolarMax will handle the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for the project, including securing all permits needed for its construction and operation. The MOU does not outline specific terms for the agreement, as these will be negotiated between the two parties. The MOU states that Sunelement will finance the EPC work and will be entitled to any federal or state tax benefits that may be available.
