Blue Star Helium’s Galactica project set for helium output by year-end

Exploration firm Blue Star Helium has confirmed it will begin producing helium at its Galactica helium and carbon dioxide processing plant in Colorado by December 2025, with CO2 production expected to follow in the first half of 2026.

The company has also confirmed plans to ramp up helium output to full capacity during the first half of next year as more wells are progressively tied into the site.

Trent Spry, Managing Director and CEO of Blue Star Helium, said the project is on track for final installation and commissioning with permits secured and equipment packages finalised.

“I am pleased by the progress being made,” he said. “Our team and key consultants have completed significant foundation work across the well, gathering system, production facility design, and site preparations.”
