MGIMS Sevagram Floats Tender for 1000 KW Solar PV Project

Kasturba Health Society, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, Wardha, has invited bids under tender for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of an additional ground-mounted solar PV system. The system will have a capacity of 1000 KW (DC) and 811 KW (AC) and will be connected to the college and hospital premises. Along with the installation, the tender also covers servicing, maintenance, and cleaning of the 811 KW ground-mounted solar PV system already installed at the MGIMS premises.

The tender was published on October 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM. From the same date and time, bid documents are available for download, and clarifications can be sought until October 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The bid submission window also opened on October 3, 2025, at 9:00 AM and will remain open until October 27, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The bids will be opened on October 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM.

The tender specifies an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹4,50,000 along with a tender fee of ₹2,200 plus GST, making it ₹1,180 in total. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) in the form of a security deposit, which is set at 5% of the contract value. The time allowed for completion of the work is six months from the date of the work order or site handover. The contractor must also provide maintenance services after commissioning, with obligations defined in the tender document.

The scope of work includes the use of TATA make solar panels and inverters only. The project requires on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and grid interconnection with necessary approvals from MEDA and MSEDCL. The maintenance scope involves regular cleaning of panels with approved cleaning agents, trimming of bushes and grass, and ensuring the proper functioning of modules, inverters, junction boxes, and other system components. The contractor is also expected to maintain detailed records of work, inspections, and maintenance carried out, while ensuring workforce safety and compliance with statutory requirements.

This tender reflects MGIMS Sevagram’s commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure within its campus to promote sustainability and energy efficiency. Interested and eligible bidders must ensure compliance with technical and financial qualifications and submit their bids within the stipulated dates to participate in this renewable energy initiative.
