NTPC Green Energy Commissions 68.22 MW Solar Capacity At Dahod Project In Gujarat

NTPC Green Energy Limited has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with the commercial operation of 68.22 MW of solar power capacity at its Dahod Solar PV Project in Gujarat. The capacity has been developed through the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.

The 68.22 MW solar capacity was declared commercially operational with effect from July 23, 2026. It forms the third part of the larger 200 MW solar power project being developed in the Dahod region of Gujarat. The commercial readiness of the newly operational capacity was formally certified by the Gujarat Energy Development Agency on September 17, 2026.

Following the commissioning of this solar capacity, the NTPC Green Energy Group has increased its commercial generation capacity from 10,842.86 MW to 10,911.08 MW. The addition further strengthens the group’s renewable energy portfolio and increases its overall installed generation base.

The Dahod project contributes to the company’s efforts to expand solar power generation in Gujarat and increase its presence in India’s growing renewable energy sector. The project is also part of the group’s broader strategy to develop additional clean energy capacity and support the country’s transition toward lower-carbon electricity generation.

The commissioning of the 68.22 MW capacity marks another step in the expansion of NTPC Green Energy’s renewable energy assets. With solar projects forming an important part of its clean energy portfolio, the company continues to develop utility-scale renewable projects across different regions of India.
