Loom Solar Partners With Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya To Drive India’s Clean Energy Future and Build A Skilled Workforce For Viksit Bharat

Loom Solar, one of India’s leading solar manufacturing companies, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a Central University established under the Ministry of Railways by an Act of Parliament, to co-develop skill-oriented programs that connect academic learning with industry requirements. This collaboration, formalized through a Letter of Intent, aims to build a strong talent pipeline for India’s renewable energy and infrastructure sectors by combining Loom Solar’s practical industry expertise with GSV’s academic and research capabilities.

Through this partnership, Loom Solar and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya will work together in several key areas, including curriculum development, student training, and internship programs. The two institutions will jointly design academic modules, projects, and case studies aligned with the latest industry trends and technological advancements. This initiative is designed to ensure that students develop practical, employable, and future-ready skills that directly meet the demands of India’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector.

Speaking on the collaboration, Professor Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, stated that the university’s vision is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by nurturing a skilled and future-ready workforce. He emphasized that this partnership with Loom Solar will further GSV’s mission to align educational outcomes with industry expectations. He added that by co-creating opportunities and platforms for experiential learning, both institutions will empower students to play an active role in India’s clean energy and infrastructure transformation.

Amod Anand, Director and Co-Founder of Loom Solar, expressed that India’s renewable energy sector is witnessing unprecedented growth and that a skilled workforce will be essential to sustain this momentum. He noted that the partnership with GSV is an opportunity to shape a new generation of engineers and professionals who understand not only the technical aspects of clean energy but also the broader mission of sustainable development. Anand further said that this initiative reflects Loom Solar’s commitment to supporting India’s vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” by nurturing practical, employable skills that contribute to long-term, sustainable economic growth.

Since its inception, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya has been dedicated to producing industry-ready professionals through a unique educational model that blends classroom learning with applied, hands-on experience. The university designs its programs in consultation with industry partners, ensuring that every student graduates with skills that are directly applicable to real-world challenges.

The collaboration with Loom Solar further strengthens this approach by introducing new avenues for students to gain exposure to renewable energy systems and applications. It will include guest lectures, workshops, and specialized training sessions conducted by industry experts. Loom Solar will also offer internships and live project opportunities, allowing GSV students to apply classroom concepts in real industry settings and gain valuable professional experience.

Both institutions intend to continue expanding their collaboration by exploring additional areas of mutual interest, including research, innovation, and sustainability initiatives that will contribute to India’s growing renewable energy and infrastructure ecosystem. This partnership highlights the shared vision of Loom Solar and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya to build a strong, skill-driven, and sustainable workforce. As India moves toward becoming a 24×7 growth economy, initiatives like this will play a crucial role in creating a generation of adaptable professionals capable of driving the nation’s clean energy transformation and achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat.
