JJ-LAPP And Tonking New Energy Sign Distribution Agreement To Promote Floating Solar Solutions Across Southeast Asia

JJ-LAPP and Tonking New Energy have officially signed a Distribution Agreement to enhance their collaboration in promoting floating solar solutions across ASEAN countries. The agreement was formalized during the IGEM: International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia 2025, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). This development builds on a previously signed memorandum of understanding between the two companies, marking a significant step forward in their shared mission to accelerate renewable energy deployment in Southeast Asia.

Under the new agreement, JJ-LAPP will serve as the authorized distributor of Tonking’s floating solar mounting systems in the region. The partnership combines Tonking’s advanced technology with JJ-LAPP’s extensive market reach and technical service capabilities, ensuring that floating solar projects can be deployed efficiently and effectively.Lionel Yap, JJ-LAPP’s Regional Manager – Renewable Energy, ASEAN, said, “Formalizing this distribution partnership is a natural next step in our collaboration with Tonking New Energy. With Tonking’s proven expertise in floating solar systems and our strong local support, we are ready to provide reliable and efficient clean energy solutions to help achieve the region’s sustainability goals.”

Tonking’s floating solar systems are distinguished by several notable features. They are offered as an all-in-one solution, with floaters supplied alongside mounting structures and anchoring systems, and designed for plug-and-play installation to enable faster on-site deployment. The systems come with a 25-year product warranty to ensure long-term reliability and are certified as reservoir-safe, being made from food-grade materials that meet chemical and microbiological safety standards. Each floater has a high load capacity, with buoyancy exceeding 600 kilograms, making the systems suitable for a wide range of water bodies.

Claire Hu, Senior Sales Manager of Tonking New Energy, stated, “We are delighted to extend our cooperation with JJ-LAPP through this distribution agreement. By combining our technical innovation with JJ-LAPP’s strong regional network, we can deliver high-performance floating solar systems tailored to local needs. This collaboration strengthens our presence and contributes to a more sustainable energy future in Southeast Asia.”

The partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to advancing clean, efficient, and scalable floating solar technologies. By addressing growing energy needs while supporting environmental conservation efforts, JJ-LAPP and Tonking New Energy aim to foster the wider adoption of sustainable energy solutions across the ASEAN region.
