Entergy’s service areas are home to some of the nation’s largest and most energy-intensive industries. In 2024 alone, Entergy New Orleans helped secure $125 million in new capital investments and create nearly 700 jobs within Orleans Parish. Beyond job creation, these projects are expected to generate additional tax revenues for state and local governments—supporting improvements to schools, roads, and public facilities that benefit residents and their families.

Over the past 18 years, capital investments in New Orleans have spanned a diverse range of industries and global companies. Notable examples include the Fairmont Hotel, a $77 million project at 1010 Common Street that created 500 jobs, and Five O Fore Golf, a $47 million investment responsible for 2,000 new positions.

In 2024, Entergy New Orleans also achieved a significant milestone in partnership with CSX Corporation, earning official certification for a 76-acre industrial site through Louisiana Economic Development’s Certified Sites Program. This first-of-its-kind designation in New Orleans positions the site for immediate development, paving the way for new employment opportunities, improved infrastructure, and stronger local logistics and transportation networks.

Each year, Site Selection Magazine evaluates utilities based on their success in driving job creation, attracting facility investments, and offering innovative programs, incentives, and data-driven business tools. Entergy’s full profile can be found in the September 2025 print issue and online at Site Selection Magazine.
