Netherlands-based Nordsol has been selected by Havila Biogass to supply critical technology for three liquefied biomethane plants in Norway.
At each site, organic feedstocks such as manure and fish waste will be processed into biogas. Nordsol’s production technology will then purify and liquefy the biomethane into liquefied biogas, or LBG (also known as BioLNG).
The plants – located in Haugaland, Trøndelag, and Innlandet – will each produce about 100 GWh of LBG per year to be used as a renewable fuel for sectors like shipping and heavy transport.
