Shree Kalyan Enterprises to Lead Feasibility and Technical Studies for HPCL’s Ambitious 252 MW Solar Project

Jaipur, India — Shree Kalyan Enterprises, Jaipur, has been selected by HPCL Renewable & Green Energy Limited (HREL) to prepare the Technical Feasibility Report (TFR) for a proposed 252 MW AC (≈280 MW DC) behind-the-meter solar power plant at Pachpadra, Rajasthan. The assignment has been formally awarded by the Renewable Energy Division of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Mumbai.

The project marks a significant milestone in HPCL’s clean-energy transition and supports the corporation’s long-term sustainability roadmap. HPCL is developing a state-of-the-art refinery and petrochemical complex at Pachpadra to bolster energy security for India’s western region. The proposed solar installation will operate as a captive power source for the refinery, reducing grid dependence and lowering operational emissions. Spread across an estimated 1,000–1,200 acres, the project is currently undergoing land demarcation. The indicative capital cost is estimated at ₹3.6–3.8 crore per MW, covering modules, balance of system, land procurement, and erection works.

Under this mandate, Shree Kalyan Enterprises will undertake preparation of the Technical Feasibility Report, solar resource assessment, energy yield analysis, grid integration studies, site evaluations, and compilation of statutory documentation required for regulatory approvals. The company will also support coordination of filings and approval processes with relevant state and central authorities.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Amit Sharma, Head – Operations at Shree Kalyan Enterprises, stated, “We are honoured to be entrusted with this pivotal assignment by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited. This project reinforces our commitment to supporting India’s renewable growth trajectory, and we look forward to delivering a technically robust and comprehensive feasibility study for HPCL Renewable & Green Energy Limited.”

With more than 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, safety, and regulatory consultancy, Shree Kalyan Enterprises has established itself as a trusted partner for both government and private-sector clients across Rajasthan. Its services include Chartered Electrical Safety Engineer (CESE) offerings, electrical system design, BEE-certified energy and safety audits, solar project approvals (PM Surya Ghar, Net Metering, CEIG, Kusum), RVPNL/RRECL/DISCOM consultancy, chartered engineer certification, HT/LT licensing services, third-party electrical inspections, and plant & machinery valuation by government-certified valuers.

HPCL’s decision to award this assignment to Shree Kalyan Enterprises highlights the firm’s technical depth and its capability in managing large-scale renewable and electrical infrastructure mandates. Once executed, the 252 MW captive solar facility is expected to become a benchmark refinery-linked renewable energy project, contributing to India’s broader industrial decarbonization efforts.
