Toyoda Gosei North America Corp., the headquarters for Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. in the Americas, has signed an agreement with Eurus Energy America, part of the Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation Group, to boost its use of renewable energy in North America. Under this agreement, TGNA will buy renewable energy certificates over the next ten years, aiming to increase its renewable energy use.

These certificates will represent 100 gigawatt-hours of energy each year, generated at a wind power facility in Texas. This move is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 40,000 tons annually, cutting the company’s emissions by more than 20% compared to FY2023, particularly in the Americas, which currently accounts for the largest portion of Toyoda Gosei’s emissions.

In 2023, Toyoda Gosei advanced its carbon neutrality goal to 2030 for emissions from its production and other operations (Scope 1 and 2). The company is speeding up efforts in energy-saving production technologies, daily improvements, and increasing the use of renewable energy. This includes using more in-house solar power, green energy, and purchasing Renewable Energy Certificates. The entire Toyoda Gosei Group is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030 through a combination of these efforts.
