TCL Hosts Major Installer Workshop in Thailand, Strengthening Commitment to Local Solar Ecosystem

TCL Photovoltaic Technology, a global leader in smart energy solutions, successfully convened a pivotal workshop for over 100 solar partners at TCL Thailand office on December 4. The event, served as a platform to officially launch the TCL Residential PV System in the market, unveil competitive product pricing, and lay the groundwork for building the industry’s most robust and collaborative installer network.

This initiative underscores TCL PV’s strategic focus on deepening its roots in Thailand’s rapidly growing renewable energy sector. The company is leveraging its over two decades of brand presence and channel strength in Thailand to introduce a residential solar solution designed with an ‘appliance-like’ simplicity for homeowners.

Leadership Commitment to Thailand’s Green Transition

Mr. Tong, Deputy General Manager of TCL PV Tech’s Overseas Business Center, addressed the audience, emphasizing the strategic importance and deep commitment to the Thai market. “Thailand is at the forefront of ASEAN’s clean energy transition, with immense potential in distributed solar,” said Mr. Tong. “For 21 years, TCL has been a trusted name in Thai households, providing electronics that enhance daily life. Today, we extend that legacy by empowering homes with clean, independent energy. We respect and understand this market deeply. Our goal is to combine global technological prowess with local insight to deliver solutions that seamlessly integrate into the Thai lifestyle. TCL PV is committed to being more than a product supplier; we aim to be a true partner, integrating into the local business ecosystem and empowering Thai installers with the products, training, and support needed to thrive.”

Empowering Partners with a Competitive Edge

The workshop offered partners a hands-on experience with the TCL Residential PV System—a seamlessly integrated solution. It combines high-efficiency panels, inverters, and a switchbox with an exclusive energy management APP, creating a closed loop from power generation and storage to smart consumption. The subsequent session on pricing and partner policies garnered keen interest, as TCL outlined a clear value proposition to boost installers’ competitiveness and profitability.

Adding a powerful testimonial from the field, Biza Solar, a key contributor to Thailand’s solar sector and an early TCL partner, shared his positive experience. “Partnering with TCL brings the advantage of a major brand that customers already know and trust,” said Mr. Biza. “The system’s standardized, user-friendly design makes installation and explanation to homeowners much smoother, which is a significant operational benefit for us.”

Riding the Wave of Market Growth

The move comes at a pivotal time for Thailand’s solar sector. The Thai government’s Alternative Energy Development Plan (AEDP) targets a significant increase in renewable energy capacity, with distributed solar playing a key role. Industry analysts project a strong compound annual growth rate for the Thai rooftop solar market in the coming years, driven by rising electricity costs and growing environmental awareness among homeowners and businesses.
