Uniper signs for 500,000 tonnes of Indian green ammonia

Germany-based energy company Uniper will offtake up to 500,000 tonnes of green ammonia each year from India’s AM Green after the two firms signed a long-term binding agreement on 12 January.

The first shipment is expected to happen as early as 2028 from AM Green Ammonia’s first one -million-tonne-per-annum plant – currently under construction in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

AM Green Ammonia is AM Green’s dedicated platform for producing green ammonia.
