UK-based metal processing company Metalysis will deploy technology to recycle argon using a system developed by cleantech firm Gas Recovery and Recycle Ltd (GR2L).
GR2L’s ArgonØ system was originally developed to support the solar photovoltaic and microelectronics markets, where high-purity argon is used intensively in manufacturing processes.
The latest project with Metalysis aims to extend the technology into advanced manufacturing and materials processing applications.
Metalysis uses large volumes of argon to create an inert atmosphere across its production process, which includes the manufacture of critical mineral metals and alloy powders for space and defence applications.
